ArtBlitz Studios was born of a need and a dream. Barbara Muth was working at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria Virginia, in a studio she shared with three other artists. She wanted to find a larger space to work in that would accommodate her interest in working larger and that was closer to her home in Reston Virginia. She also wanted to create a space where other artists could create art, where people could come to take classes, and where an artist’s community could evolve.

In the spring of 2019 we found a location for ArtBlitz Studios and the six founding artists in a lovely, light filled space in Sterling, VA.

The global COVID Pandemic slowed progress down in 2020 and 2021, but by the middle of 2022 we reopened to the public with classes and workshops! And that’s where we are now!
