Here in the DC metro area, we are fortunate to have many places to enjoy the blooming of the cherry trees, either at the Tidal Pool in DC, Meadowlark Botanic Gardens, or in your own backyard.  The time of peak bloom is brief, but magical. You can enjoy the beauty all year long with a painting of these beautiful trees. 

In this class you will learn:

• How to capture the subtle pinks of these soft blossoms

• Choosing the right photographic reference

• Painting water reflections

• Editing your scene to enhance your composition

This class is appropriate for beginners and those with some painting experience. You may use your own photograph or one provided by the instructor as reference. Demonstrations will be in oil, but differences in approach for acrylic will be discussed. Ages 16 +
